As we watch our nation’s heritage fray, it’s good to be reminded of those who made us what we are today, of how hard they worked their entire lives to leave us with what we take for granted now.
It’s good to be reminded that we each make a difference because we are all connected, just as every living thing in the forest is connected.
Each has its own purpose. Each life has value.
Train Dreams tells the story of one man’s life in the early 20th Century.
It’s the best film I’ve seen in years!
Beautifully acted, gorgeously shot, it’s a quiet, spiritual, character-driven story that will stay with you for days after you see it.
It will debut on Netflix November 21 but I encourage you to see it in a theater, on the largest screen you can find it on, because the cinematography is as breathtaking as the acting.
It is sad. You will be moved. You may cry.
But it’s so much more than a sad story.
In many ways, it’s the story of America. Independence. Strength. Sacrifice. Resilience. Courage. Love. Hope.
And that’s a story we really need to hear right now.
