Words

What a gift it is to be able to find words and use them in the exact order and pace and rhythm to reach the hearts of total strangers.

To make another person feel so deeply that the emotion cannot remain hidden from others, but is right there, on his face, as tears well up in his eyes, or course almost apologetically down her cheeks, baring the heart that produced them.

As with all gifts, it has a cost, doesn’t it? A cost often paid by those closest to you who must watch you sometimes braving a despair only you can see.

There is a reason so many who write or compose or perform have issues with alcohol and drugs and clinical depression.

Perversely, it seems that sharing the gift opens other’s hearts while your’s is left defenseless.

On behalf of all those who listen and really hear your words, Thank You!

Thank you for sharing your gift to help the rest of us feel more empathy and compassion.

There’s never too much of that in today’s world.
