Wolf Hall

Real “Must See” TV

Wolf Hall is definitely one of my favorite books (along with the second in the trilogy, Bring Up The Bodies). Written by Hilary Mantel, Wolf Hall won the Man Booker Prize in 2009, and now the BBC has turned it into a TV series which will air on PBS in the United States.

It premieres tonight on Masterpiece Theater:

Wolf Hall

It’s the story of Thomas Cromwell, a commoner who rose to become the chief counselor and advisore to King Henry VIII and one of the most powerful people in England at one of the most explosive times in her history — but don’t let that put you off.

Told through Cromwell’s eyes, it’s a riveting tale of politics, betrayal, adultery, corruption, religion and power, and it’s all based on real facts.

I hope you love it as much as I loved the books…

tonight, on your local PBS channel.
