Knowledge worth having

I think this applies to us.

I think the claim that our “job” is “entertainment” is a bit disingenuous. It takes the easy way out.

Because entertainment can also create wisdom, it can have a moral quality without losing it’s mass entertainment appeal.

Take Jon Stewart and the Daily Show as just one example.

I realize I’m asking you to work harder, to challenge yourself.

I also know only the best of you can do it well.

I wouldn’t bring it up if I didn’t believe it’s important.
