Still raw…
The 9/11 Museum opens to the public today in New York.
It costs $24 to visit. You can buy t-shirts proving you were there…
and I just wonder how that feels to those who lost a loved one that day or who call New York home.
I will probably go, at some point. But not yet. Seeing the coverage of the opening, hearing the stories on various news channels last week of the families directly impacted, it still feels too raw for me.
I spent a lot of time working in New York the year before the attacks. Maybe that’s why.
Or maybe, because we all shared this, live, as it was happening, it felt — and still feels — like my town, my family, my friends.
I just don’t think I could do it yet.
But if you live in NY and go, please let me know what you think, how it was. Ok?
