What If…?

 

I was in an earthquake only once. A 6.8 quake off the coast of Hawaii’s Big Island.

What I remember is the disorientation I felt.

It took several seconds for my brain to understand that the ground itself was moving, violently.

And while that was a large earthquake, no one was killed and no buildings were demolished.

My younger sister survived the great Kobe Earthquake and was lucky to do so. Her descriptions and the photos I saw of the damage afterwards were horrific.

So, this idea, is a really good one!

Scientists have known for some time that some animals seem to sense a large earthquake before it begins. Dogs appear to have this ability as you can see HERE.
