These two ads sum up what I think has changed about Christmas in some American homes.
It certainly reveals the difference in American ads and English ones.
America is obsessed with getting.
But the whole point of Christmas is giving, giving to the undeserving, to the least of these, our brethren.
And here’s the English ad, where a little boy cannot wait to give his gift to his parents.
I’m not sure when we became so focused on ourselves, but its not our best quality, is it?
