An auto executive, perhaps the most powerful in the industry, arrested and imprisoned in Japan.

But what happened next is even more amazing: While out of prison on bail and despite being under constant surveillance he escaped, smuggled out of Japan in a large container on a private jet.

The former American Green Beret who helped him is now in prison in Japan. Ghosn remains free but under constant threat due to an international arrest warrant.
