On behalf of a grateful generation…
First thing that struck me is how thin almost everyone is. The pre-fast food era.
But then I watched it again and thought about all the sacrifices this generation made for us.
Today is VJ Day — Victory over Japan, the end of WW2. But not the end of the sacrifices for that generation. They re-built Europe and Japan with their tax dollars. They worked hard, saved money for the things they wanted to buy, and brought many of us into a better world.
If you know anyone who served, share their story today.
At the very least, say “Thank you!”
