Underestimated Power

Is in your hands…

Studies consistently show that the smallest acts of kindness have a far greater impact on the recipients than we realize.

I’m not talking about painting someone’s house. This isn’t about how much effort or money is involved.

It’s the unexpected part of the kindness that matters most.

Helping that young mother holding an infant and her purse and carry-on bag as she negotiates finding her seat…

Offering someone caught in a downpour at the bus stop a ride home…

Paying for the next person’s Starbucks without being asked…

Taking the time to reach out and send a short note of encouragement to someone you know is struggling…

Each of these small actions has much greater significance than we think.

It may seem too little to even bother but it could be the hope someone has desperately needed.

The message: If you thinking it, do it.

Don’t find reasons not to act. Spread kindness little bit by little bit.

That’s the way to begin to change our world.
