A bit of wisdom today

I found it when I was helping my friend, Kip, approach the end of his life.

In his final few days, I would sit with him in the hospital, put headphones on his ears and start the CD.

At one point, Kip began to cry, so I lifted the headphones and asked if he would prefer to hear something else, something less emotional for him.

I didn’t want to force additional sadness upon him.

Without speaking, he took the headphone I had lifted and replaced it onto his ear, and we sat and cried together.
