Two American Families

This is heartbreaking in so many ways.

I love Frontline.

I would become a member of PBS for this alone, though there are so many other PBS shows I love that I don’t have to.

Last month, Frontline aired Two American Families.

Bill Moyers, now in his 90s, followed the same two families for 33 years!

We see them young at the beginning, starting a family, full of optimism and hope.

And we watch the relentless pursuit of corporate profit batter our humanity and leave us where we are today.

No wonder it’s hard to believe in promises and politicians, on both sides of the aisle.

They – WE – have all let this happen on our watch.

It didn’t affect most of us. It was easy to look away.

If you don’t understand why some people are so angry that they will vote for anyone they think will hurt the establishment that oversaw this, you should watch.

If you want to be inspired by resilience and character, you should watch.
