That fear was real for many of us.
It was inescapable for those of us who lost people we loved to a virus we couldn’t see.
Yes, we made it through. That’s worth noting. We are amazingly resilient.
But for some that sense of isolation and loneliness has not yet ebbed.
Covid forced most of us to face an issue that is too easily ignored: the growing sense of isolation and loneliness that’s increasing even as our means of being connected multiply.
Loneliness is the epidemic we haven’t tried to cure.
So, it couldn’t hurt to send a text and be sure – again – that they’re ok.
