Expanding your heart

“I like to feel things when I see a movie. Most movies I see I don’t feel much. But when I do, I am entirely grateful for the experience. I want to make films where that is the experience.” 

That’s James Ponsoldt, the director of The Spectacular Now, which opens at a theater in your town today.

I’m sharing it because James and I have the same beliefs about creating emotional experiences.

I don’t know whether this film is great, or even good, but it won a Special Jury Award for Acting at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

And I’ll see it, because I like to feel things too.
