It feels like music was more important to those of us who grew up in the 60s and 70s.
Maybe that’s not fair because I’m not always a huge fan of contemporary artists, but that’s what it feels like.
When we listened to music on albums, we would flip the album cover over and read about the musicians playing on that record.
And so, those of us who plunged deep into each cut came to recognize familiar names on wildly different albums with wildly different groups: The session players.
Super talents most of us never saw who made the music we loved so memorable.
