My father died 10 years ago today.

He had fought pancreatic cancer for 18+ months and almost made it to his 92nd birthday.

I was fortunate to be with him as he passed and I am missing him today.

This spot addresses the fact of loss during the holiday weeks but it feels a bit overdone to me, too maudlin…especially the guy playing the dad.

Plus, they didn’t need Jim Croce to “explain” the story. Just too much…
