What a story!
I found many parts of this incredibly moving, perhaps because I’m living through some similar challenges: parents at the end of life, becoming a care-taker for a family member, forced to see the reality ahead.
Aren’t we all?
Thirty years ago, this might have been a long piece in the New York Times magazine, or The Atlantic or The New Yorker.
And I might not have read it.
But visually, it hooks you fast.
I know this is long, but I think it’s so worth it.
