Wow!

First, I’m a fan of the author of the book this film is based upon, Elena Ferrante. I loved the Neopolitan novels.

Second, I have yet to see Olivia Colman act in anything not worth watching for her alone, from Broadchurch to Landscapers, which is the best limited series of last year (on HBO).

Third, this film marks the directorial debut for Maggie Gyllenhaal, and fourth…her cast is amazing!

And speaking of great films, I highly recommend Preserving Democracy: Pursuing A More Perfect Union on PBS. It should be required viewing for every American citizen and for those immigrants hoping to become citizens.
