I don’t know if this will sell bananas, but I love the story, the actors and casting, and the direction:
When Shannon’s mom died, I went to Chad’s school to tell him, so that scene where her father is explaining why he’s there rang so true to me.
The little girl is brilliant, the emotion feels real, and the story is, too often, one we know very well: distracted, over-worked father, unexpected death, finding the way to live with loss.
Well done.
