I don’t know if you’ve noticed but Northwestern Mutual began using more emotional ads a few weeks ago in a new campaign called “Spend Your Life Living,” and they’re really good:

It’s nice to see a different approach than we’ve become used to in this product category and it’s another example of marketers understanding that emotion drives decisions and loyalty.
