My father loved James Bond films. When I was a boy, growing up in Malaysia and Singapore, they were the raciest movies we could see.

So, even though I know critics say it’s formula-filming, I think Daniel Craig is the best Bond since Sean Connery and I look forward to watching, and wish I could still take my dad to see it too.

Spectre opens November 6 in a theater near you.

I’ve loved Juliette BINOCHE for years, since the Unbearable Lightness of Being (which also introduced us to Daniel Day Lewis), and her new film looks great.

Clouds of Sils Maria should be available on Netflix now.

I know Johnny Depp has been in some awful movies the last few years. Still, this looks like the best role he’s had in a decade or more, playing the real life Whitey Bulger in Black Mass.

What a cast, huh? It opens September 15.
