The Onion way…

There’s always a smidgen of truth in satire; that’s what makes it funny…

Last week, FaceBook announced they are selling :15-second commercials, and that they cost $2.5 million per spot.

And, surprise, they are not targeted at specific users based on profile and likes. They’re aiming for the masses, just like TV and Radio, and that is pissing people off.

When it comes to building strong brands, other than their own, social media isn’t even in the game compared to broadcasting.

And that’s the truth.
