You may have seen the short version of this ad during the Oscars broadcast. (I must have missed the ads for our consolidated Radio companies. Oh, you too?)
This is noteworthy, not only because Sirius/XM chose to spend a lot of money to be seen by tens of millions of eyes, but also because it’s so exceptional and moving.
Literally.
Emotionally and physically.

Let’s be completely honest: Even if iHeart or Audacy or any of the big boys of Radio had actually been willing to spend money to market “Radio,” there’s no way they would’ve paid for this kind of ad.
They would’ve bragged about reach or size or market value.
They wouldn’t have aimed at moving anyone who saw their ad.
They wouldn’t have figured out how to show that music is beloved by humans of every age.
Music moves people.
It always has. It always will.
And Sirius/XM proved that beautifully.
