I’ve never been an especially ardent Ted Turner fan, but what he says HERE makes sense to me.

It’s not a long video and I hope you’ll watch it.

We can all strive to be better than we are. Not better at our jobs necessarily, though that’s not a bad thing.

Better as people.

Better as a nation.

More caring. More thoughtful. More giving. Less judgmental. Less angry. Less resentful.

Individually, none of us can wipe out world hunger, or income inequality, or social injustice.

None of us, by ourselves, can make our elected representatives think first of our country, rather than the lobbyists who pay them, or the donors who fund them, or the narrow interests of their home town.

But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try.
