Relational Promos

 

I’m not certain when Radio became a purely transactional affair, but it’s gonna kill us in the end.

Radio usually sells itself now on its own airwaves using transactional words only.

“More.”
“Most.”
Best.”
“Fewer Interruptions.”

In one ear, out the other. Or worse, never noticed at all.

We need to use relational words to change usage.

We need to tell stories about who we are, who listens to us.

We need to be more emotional and less logical because all humans choose based first on what they feel.

Even when we think we’re being totally logical, the logic is based on emotion.

That’s the most truth I can share today with the fewest interruptions and most variety.
