Opening Your Heart to Hurt

I’ve been there. You probably have too.

Helping the dog you love end his or her pain and suffering is just about the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

When our little female, Tatum, died of PIMA at only 3 years of age, I wasn’t sure I would ever get over it.

So, reading this story, of a guy who, after losing his own beloved companion, opened his heart to adopt only senior dogs from the shelter, the ones most likely to die soon, the ones least likely to be adopted, it caught my attention.

He wanted to give these dogs love and companionship at the end of their lives.
