We know the limitations of streaming services. Their costs go up as subscriptions and listening times increase.
Last week, Pandora’s CEO “stepped down,” as quarterly financials showed mounting losses at America’s best-known streaming service.
Spotify may be doing better in Europe, but it has yet to set the world on fire in America.
The simple fact is, most consumers will not pay what it must cost to consume all the music they want, at least the way the system works now.
If not for consolidated Radio’s relentless over-commercialization and homogenization, these services wouldn’t even be on consumer’s radar.
