One of the interesting things about my job is walking into a station and viscerally feeling the tension and defeatism. Interesting because, often, management has no idea the morale in their building is so low.
We all know good morale and a sense of purpose and fulfillment improve performance, but it’s often hard to get to the truth about morale in a climate where everyone is afraid any negativity will cost them their job.
