Misty Copeland

Congratulations!

I recently posted about the new way marketers are speaking to women. This spot was part of that post.

I Will What I Want

Misty Copeland, told she could never be a ballerina, was named this week as the first Black Principal Dancer at the American Ballet Theater.

Her talent, beauty, and hard work — the sheer strength of her will — has forever changed the face of ballet.

How grateful I am to be alive right now, to witness the changes we’ve seen just in the last week.

Misty’s story should empower each of us, regardless of gender or race, to pursue our dreams.

No one has the right to limit your vision for yourself.

No one!
