“To really get scale in the media plan, you need AM/FM radio. The two biggest ad-supported music streaming services miss about 87% of Americans in a typical day.”
That’s a quote from Pierre Bouvard, former leader of Arbitron, and currently working for Cumulus and Westwood One.
You may compete with them for listeners but I think every GSM in America should turn those two sentences into a gigantic poster that hangs above the entrance to every radio station in America.
We are bombarded with new propaganda from Spotify on a weekly basis.
It often feels as if everyone under the age of 65 must listen to it exclusively today, that Radio is finished.
And that’s just plain wrong!
If broadcast radio won’t bang our own drum, who will?
