Today, we kick off the Christmas advertising season, my favorites from around the world, and my least favorite, from right here in the U.S.

I happened to read a book about raising an owl, Wesley the Owl: The Remarkable Story of an Owl and His Girl this year, so that may explain why I really liked this one from Germany.

If you’re looking for a gift for a reader in your life, or especially a reader who loves owls, you can’t go wrong with that book.
