I Think It’s Going to Rain Today

Most of you reading this have a pretty good life.

If you live in a warm, safe place, have enough food to eat, enough money to pay the bills, and at least one great friend, you’re doing pretty well.

If your parents are still living, if you haven’t received bad news from your doctor, if you know one other person in your life who really loves you, you’re doing pretty well.

If you have a dog you love, who loves you more, you’re doing pretty well.

You’ve got more than lots of folks.

You’ve got an umbrella when it starts to rain…

Randy Newman wrote it, but Norah Jones makes it hers:

I am grateful for every good thing and every good person in my life, including you.

If you’re looking to share some of the blessings of your life, consider these:

World Central Kitchen, and Feed America, providing hundreds of thousands of meals to those in need.

Thinking of the extreme need in Gaza and Ukraine and Sudan? Me too.

Click on Charity Navigator to pick the organization you believe best.

If you can spare it, share it, especially when there is so much need right now.
