Good, or Great?

Which are you?

Most radio companies are satisfied with good.

Good enough not to cause winces, or complaints, or anxiety that you allowed someone on your station that sucks so bad your judgment is in question.

The difference between good air talent and great air talent really comes down to one simple word: emotion.

Great talent makes you feel and creates within you the need to share those feelings with others.

Great stations make you feel, too. They make you feel better about your part in a larger picture in which you see yourself, part of a shared community you are proud to belong to.

I know you may not be challenged by anyone within your organization to strive for great, but do it anyway.

Great changes everything that encounters it.

It redeems. It encourages. It transforms.

Don’t settle.

Today, be great!
