The French poet, Guillaume APOLLINAIRE, wrote a poem about a conversation between God and man:

“Come to the edge, He said.
 They said, No. We are afraid.
 Come to the edge, He said.
 They said, No! We are afraid!
 Come to the edge! He said.
 They came.
 He pushed them…
 …and they flew.”
