So what happens?
We are all born creative.
All you need to do is sit in a pre-school for half an hour and talk to the kids there to notice that they don’t have fences around their imagination.
We — peers, adults, society — make children naturally more self-conscious about their creativity.
Ridicule, judgment, rejection — they all slowly close the door for most of us, until we see less and less of our own unique vision of the world.
That’s terribly sad.
Every chance you get, affirm those little bursts of creation rather than find their flaws.
You never know which little Picasso is being relentlessly shut down.
