NBC announced they will offer a special live feed backstage at the Emmy Awards telecast.

The special feed will air simultaneously on NBC.com, Emmys.com, and Ustream.

I think this is a great idea!

Most of us have a fascination with what goes on in the locker room (witness the popularity of the NY Jets show on HBO), behind the closed kitchen doors (Top Chef), and backstage, whether at concerts or TV events.

So think about how you can share what goes on “backstage” on your station, on your show, because that access will prove to some listeners that they are “special.”
