Alice & Jack

A love story…

Have you watched “Alice & Jack” on PBS?

It’s a Masterpiece Theater offering and it’s fantastic!

I can’t really tell you anything about it without spoiling the experience for you, only that it’s a 6-part mini-series, each segment about 45 minutes long. And that it’s a love story.

And that won’t feel obvious at first, the love story part.

The writing and acting is so good! Even the minor characters are fantastic.

If you’re a member of PBS, you can stream it anytime you like.

You can also watch it on YouTube TV for a small cost – though I would rather see you join PBS, which will cost less and also open up their amazing library of programs to you.

I hope you’ll trust me on this one and let me know how much you love it afterwards.

And while I’m recommending stuff, I need to include A Gentleman in Moscow:

If you haven’t already read the book, by all means do that first because you’ll love that too.

The series veers a bit from the book, but again, the writing and acting is fabulous, especially Ewan McGregor, who is much better than I could have expected.

And if, for any reason, you decide you can’t watch both mini-series now, pick Alice & Jack and just read the Amor Towles book and save the Showtime series for later.

Trust me.
