Admit It

We know that most teens do better at school if classes start later than 8am.

So why do so many schools insist on early classes?

We know that most people have times each day in which they are most productive, tied to their individual circadian rhythms and based on getting the right amount of sleep.

So why do we force students becoming doctors to work enormous hours – up to 136 hours in a week – taking care of desperately ill patients when they are exhausted?

We know that creative people should never work Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, to produce their best work, but Radio execs force the vast majority of creatives to do so.

Why?

We should focus on better results rather than bean-counter rigidity.
