I live in one of the most beautiful states in America: Colorado.

Yet, I have also been blessed to travel the world most of my life.

One of the most memorable trips I've taken was a last-minute deal too good to pass up, in which United offered RT airfare from Denver to Zurich, Switzerland for $385.

The fare was offered for a Wednesday morning departure, arriving in Zurich very early Thursday morning. The catch was, we had to return home Sunday afternoon. So, only 3 full days in Switzerland. It was so worth it.

My wife, who is a genius, found the single most remarkable train ride I've ever had: The Glacier Express.  A 2-day ride from Zurich up to Zermatt, and the Matterhorn, on day 1, and then on through the Alps to St. Moritz on day 2.

Colorado has beautiful mountains, but not like this.

These are the mountains we spent two days touring on trains, so high into the Alps, many were on cog railroad tracks. This is part of what we saw.

Breathtaking beauty. So, turn up your speakers, and enjoy.
