Our job now is to spread the word...

This morning, estimates of the death toll are over 100,000 lives.

Haiti was already the poorest nation in our hemisphere. These people, who had so little to begin with, have lost everything.

The scenes of devastation are overwhelming.

We, in the media, need to use our platforms to quickly facilitate donations and other forms of aid that will be critical in the coming days.

This is not just a job for governments. This is human compassion.

Plesae spread the word, and take action right now, because procrastination is the enemy of action.

If each of us just donates what we would spend today on food and coffee, it would save more lives than we can imagine. We have the means.

I support Doctors Without Borders because I know from personal experience the quality of their assistance, but the "who" is not as important now as the "do," as in "Do It Now!"
