A simple question

 

What do you do that is better than anything listeners can hear on any other radio station?

The real purpose behind competition is choice, but it’s only a true choice if there’s a better alternative.

Your company, your station, probably began thinking it would offer a clear “better than” option for the listeners in your town.

But we’ve all gotten so busy, so caught up in our own frantic work, that we’ve lost sight of that initial reason for our being.

No station can offer me better music than I can program myself on Apple Music or Spotify, without the endless, infuriating commercial interruptions.

If you accept that, then being better must involve non-musical content: air talent and spots.

Now, be honest with yourself: Is the product your station offers better than that of their other options?
